Sakip Sabanci Museum
Museum of Fine Arts in private Istanbul located in a beautiful park Emirgan on the Bosphorus . The museum is dedicated to the art of calligraphy , religious documents and state you will also find paintings of the Ottoman era. It was founded by Sakıp Sabancı (successful businessman and great philanthropist), and was opened in June 2002 In addition to the permanent exhibitions the museum also hosts national and foreign temporary exhibitions and organizes cultural events for the weekend . Recently, the museum has attracted the attention of the world by exposing the works of Pablo Picasso and Auguste Rodin. Istanbul Modern
Opened in 2004 in the old docks area redeveloped Tophane , the Istanbul Modern presents the works of contomporary artist Turks . It also hosts temporary exhibitions. A museum not to be missed! Museum of Industry
It's the brainchild of a private museum Mr. Rahmi Koç , son of the founder and powerful industrialist, Mr Vehbi Koç.In a beautiful building that was a former anchor of foundry ' Ottoman empire , you will find an impressive collection of artifacts tracing the history of industry, transport and communications. There is also space in the open air boats, airplanes full size, including a submarine 93m dating from 1944 that you can visit at an additional cost of 7TL . It also has an amazing collection of vintage cars, motorcycles, trains.

The Istanbul Archaeological Museum
The Istanbul Archaeology Museum actually consists of three separate museums: the main Archaeological Museum , the Museum of the Works of the Ancient Orient and the Museum Pavilion enamel . It houses more than one million objects that represent almost all eras and civilizations in world history.
the main museum you will find the first floor one of the largest collections in the world of coins of antiquity such as pottery , the terracotta figures, and an impressive collection of coins , medals, badges and a library of 70,000 books.In the lower room you can see frescoes, tombs, sarcophagi and in particular that of Alexander the Great , this sarcophagus dating from the 4th century BC. JC is not that of Alexander the Great, he called that because it is decorated with sculptures of a battle scene where Alexander is shown. The best-known pieces are the sarcophagus Tabnit that of Lycian and the mourners. You can also admire beautiful sculptures including the Adonis of Tabnit and bust of Alexander.

Musee Militaire (Asker Muzesi)
The Military Museum , Askeri Müzesi in Turkish, is located in the district 's Harbiye (Istanbul). It was opened in 1726, is the oldest museum in Istanbul, originally it was in the Church of St. -Irène (Aya Irini) located within the grounds ofTopkapi Palace .

Museum of Islamic history (Closed for renovation)
The Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts is the palace of Ibrahim Pasha near the ancient hippodrome in the historic Sultanahmet district. Ibrahim Pasha was the Grand Vizier of Suleiman the Magnificent who offered him the palace in appreciation of the thirteen years of his service.
Museum offers an extensive collection of over 40,000 pieces of Islamic art from the eighth to the nineteenth century.
A large section of the museum is devoted to the carpet, you will find dating from the Seljuk period in Anatolia made between the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries and several looms. Explanations are given on the manufacture of carpets, especially on plants used for staining.
